Talking Therapy

I’m Carol, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (MBACP) offering a warm, collaborative space for people experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, OCD, and other emotional difficulties. I support adults and students navigating life changes, study pressure, and the challenges of living away from home. My approach is grounded in compassion and practical tools that support real, lasting change.

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (MBACP) with experience supporting adults and students with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My background includes:

  • Supporting clients with stress, anxiety‑related difficulties (including GAD, social anxiety, and OCD), low mood, and depression

  • Providing CBT‑based support within a specialist organisation for Black, minority ethnic, asylum‑seeking, refugee, and migrant women and girls

  • Several years working as a subcontracted therapist for a women’s charity delivering NHS Talking Therapies (High‑Intensity CBT)

  • Strong experience working within an NHS clinical framework and supporting clients with more complex presentations

  • Working extensively with students experiencing study pressure, adjusting to life away from home, balancing academic demands with wellbeing, and managing homesickness, loneliness, and performance‑related anxiety

These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the different pressures people face at various stages of life, and how CBT can support resilience, confidence, and healthier coping strategies.
